Plant a tree
FOR EVERY £30 YOU SPEND, WE PLANT A TREE
It's no secret that producing these products (well, anything in fact) has SOME sort of impact on the environment in one way or anything somewhere down the line. It may be at the factory, transporting the goods after production, or even just driving to your local shop to purchase the product.
We've decided that we can do more for our planet, the bigger we get as a company, the more impact we have on our environment. That's why we've decided to start this 'plant a tree' initiative.
our current practises
We are big on the eco front, we have already taken big steps in becoming more eco-friendly.
- Use 100% start bio-degradable packing peanuts
- DO NOT use plastic mailing bags like other UK/EU stores
- Source our packing boxes from low-carbon emitting manufacturers
- Have our orders collected everyday at 4pm to reduce the need for additional emissions
- Recycle 99% of cardboard we receive/use
- Use motion sensor lights in our stockroom when picking orders
how do we plant trees
Okay, so we don't actually plant the trees ourselves.
We are the first UK cube store to have partnered with Ecologi.
Ecologi plant trees for us and will plant 1 tree for every £30 KewbzUK order.
You can keep track of our personal 'Forest' and 'Carbon Reduction' by viewing our Ecologi account.
proof of planting
There may be some sceptics that don't believe the good that some people are doing. However, Ecologi offer a full Google Drive document which is updated monthly with all proof of how many trees are planted along with receipts and certificates.

The US Environmental Protection Agency’s carbon emissions calculator estimates that 2481 miles (3992.7 km) emits 1 tonne of CO2.
A 2016 research paper published in Novembers issue of Science Magazine, found that the loss of Arctic sea ice had a linear relationship to CO2 emissions. This rate is 3 ± 0.3 square metres per tonne of CO2.
Our long haul flight of choice is London to San Francisco, a distance of 8,619.80 km (calculated using Distance To).Using the UK government’s greenhouse gas report from 2017 This flight emits 0.15119 kg per km of CO2 per person seated in economy class. This means the total flight emissions for one person is 1303.23 kg (1.3 tonnes).
